My boyfriend and I decided to become rat parents. Our two little boys are called Indy - short for Indiana Jones and Pickle Pancake.

We've only had them for a few days and it really amazes us how much they have bonded with us.

As I'm writing this, Pickle is sitting on my sock on my desk and bruxing, which means that he is very happy.

They both allow us to pick them up, even out of the cage and Indy react to kissy noises - he comes right out from wherever he is for a treat.

I never expected something this tiny can behave like a dog. I'm also surprised by how clean they are - they basically litterbox trained themselves.

My child is now a teenager!

I added a little glow in the dark heart charm and a bow :3

Speaking on charms, yesterday I got the urge to finally accessorize my everyday bag.
I'm actually thinking of creating a whole separate page for what's in my bag, perhaps even recording a video because I really enjoy watching other people's bag tours.

Today the tamagotchi I bought on Vinted finally arrived! I'm so excited!

It's the 2024 Easter Gen1 edition.

I learned that there are a few characters your little pet can evolve into, depending on how well you take care of it. I know for a fact that I'm going to spoil my pet with snacks because that is the easiest way to provide them with more happiness, which unfortunately also leads to them being overweight.

When I was a kid I used to own a Littlest Pet Shop virtual pet that was a horse, I loved it! I wish I still had it.

Ahhhhhhhhh this is so EXCITING! Spring is upon us!!!
The sun is shining and I can hear the chirping of the great tit outside (I know, silly goofy name).

This winter has felt so long, probably because I have so many exciting changes in my life coming up. Every year I am surprised when long nights yield to spring and become short again.

I can already feel that this summer will be great. I hope this isn't me jinxing it!

Things are difficult to deal with again. I feel a little burnt out lately. Showing up to work is more challenging. And why would this be?

I'm entering a new season in my life - creating a nest for myself and my partner (who will soon start living with me).
The perspective of having this new life upon me is so exciting, yet I find myself in the constant state of paralysis and decision fatigue.

It's times like this when I wish I were a ball of consciousness, without a body and physical needs.
